Clean and Renewable Energy

Clean and Renewable Energy is easily one of the newest “catch-phrases” of modern times but, just what is “clean and renewable Energy?”  Simply put clean and renewable energy is energy production that does not rely upon the combustion of hydrocarbons or fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas.  The act of combustion creates the formation of hydrocarbons or Green House Gases (GHG), and it does not renew itself or does not renew itself very swiftly like sun, wind or other alternative energy sources do.  Therefore, energy derived from the sun, wind, or ocean is considered clean renewable energy.  Having these technologies and being able to combine them, is crucial to the full utilization potential of these clean alternatives.
